Goat Cart

This photo shows the three Retter girls -- Pauline Lavina, Mildred May and Carrie Catherine -- with their "goat cart" around 1925.  The cart is posed beside the main entry to the farmhouse at its original location.  This elevation is facing south.  To the right of the photo is the "back kitchen" addition to the original house.  This addition was removed in 1970 when the house was lifted, rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise and placed in its current location approximately 100 feet further west.  The move was forced by an expansion of State Route 201.
